  6. This is taken from an in-store Rad Shark memo concerning the HTX-202.

  8. ER1 indicates an internal RAM error. It appears when the memory 
  9. backup battery is dead, when something has caused the memory contents
  10. to become corrupt, or as a result of physical or static electric shock.
  11. To clear this error, turn off the unit. Then turn it back on while
  12. holding down the "function" and "D" buttons. This clears the memory.
  13. If the error returns after you clear the memory, service is required.

  15. ER2 indicates a PLL unlock. The radio gives this error if the PLL
  16. alignment is off or if the transmitted signal interferes with the
  17. internal PLL frequency. This error has been reported most frequently
  18. when using the supplied "rubber ducky" antenna with either a
  19. high-power battery pack or with an external DC source.

  21. According to the memo, the fix for this is to use an external
  22. antenna when using external DC power. 
  23. The memo goes on to say that if the problem persists, 
  24. send the transciever to the repair center.
